Street Pastors is a Christian ministry expressed as an inter-denominational Church response to urban problems, engaging with people on the streets to care, listen and dialogue. Pioneered by the Revd Les Isaac (Director of Ascension Trust) in London in 2003, “Street Pastors” equips adult Christians of all backgrounds to take the love of Jesus Christ onto the streets. There are now over 2,000 Street Pastors in over 100 different locations around Great Britain Including BRIDGWATER!!!!
All the local churches work together to bring the same vision of street pastors alive to the streets of Bridgwater. We work extremely closely with the local government, police and clubs/pubs to ensure the safety on the streets are upheld. We also have a dedicated prayer team, who are awake throughout the night praying for all the street pastors and all the public!!!!
Recent encouragements have come from expressions of appreciation and requests for help. Street Pastors did extra patrols during College Rag Days and over Christmas and New Year. The bitterly cold weather has not deterred them and you will find teams out every Saturday night whatever the conditions!

“The foodbank was there when we really needed it, it was an absolute lifeline.”
We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. Working to combat poverty and hunger across the Bridgwater.
